Bishop David Lee Dunston

Bishop David Lee Dunston is a native of Louisburg, North Carolina, born to the late Harold and Violet Dunston. He now resides in Raleigh, North Carolina. At an early age, he joined Haywood Baptist Church in Henderson, North Carolina. Later, in 1989 he was saved, sanctified, and baptized in the Jesus named and filled with the Holy Ghost at Christ Holiness Church under the direction and leadership of Harold Smith Jr. He received his training in ministry at Christ HOliness Chuch, Raleigh, North Carolina.

In 1990, he was called by God into the ministry and was ordained to preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ, into this dark and sinful world. Once again God called him to serve in the office of Pastor. He was ordained under the leadership of the late Evangelist Mamie Lee Walker and Overseer Elder Leroy Carroll. In 1992, God established Grace Church of God, Raleigh, North Carolina, where he is currently serving and has served for over 28 years in Raleigh and Bladenboro, North Carolina.

Bishop Duston founded the North Carolina Apostolic Assemblies organization and has traveled to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, up and down the East Coast and has traveled as far are Freeport, Grand Bahamas.

Dr. Sandra Lee Dunston

Bishop Dunston married Evangelist Dr. Sandra Lee Dunston, the daughter of the later Sam Walker Jr. and Evangelist Mamie Cannady Walker. Dr. Dunston was born in Long Beach, California. As a youth, she joined Wake Chapel Baptist Church in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was later saved, sanctified, filled with the Holy Ghost, and Baptized in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and for over 28 years, has served alongside her husband as Co-Pastor, Co-Founder, and First Lady of Grace Church God of Angier and Bladenboro, North Carolina.

Dr. Dunston graduated from Sanderson High School in Raleigh, North Carolina, and holds a Bacher’s of Science degree in Organizational Management from St. Augustine University and a Master’s Degree from Shaw University Divinity in Raleigh North Carolina, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Pastoral Ministry from Newburgh Theological Seminary, Newburgh, Indiana.

She served as the first African American female Chaplain to work in the Central Prison of Raleigh North Carolina. She is a member of the American Correctional Association and serves on the Executive Board of the North Carolina Correction Associate. Dr. Duston has met the standards of the Association of Professional Chaplains and has been granted the status of Provisional Board Certified Chaplain.

Bishop and Dr. Dunston, enjoy preaching and teaching the WORD and truth of our Savior Jesus Christ and loving the people by spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.
